After having completed her HND in Music & Audio Technology and degree in Commercial Music, Claire Donna began working for Soma Records and has now been with the company for 10 years. Her main role within the office is Production & Distribution Manager but she has touched on various other aspects of running a record label such as licensing and has worked on many successful compilations, for example Sub Club 20 Years.
As Production & Distribution Manager, she has many responsibilities including having designers put artwork together, proofing artwork, ordering all physical stock and making sure it goes into distribution before deadline. She keeps regular contact with distribution companies with regards to stock levels and sales as they use these numbers to make decisions on quantities for future physical releases.
Other daily tasks she has at the label are: making barcodes, keeping the website up to date, digital uploads to distribution, running the online shop & customer service, keeping the Soma release schedule up to date. She also has involvement with royalties and using the royalty program, MusiCalc and inputting invoices into artist accounts every six months.
